The Evangelisches Klinikum Bethel in Bielefeld is one of Germany's most renowned neurological centers and is part of the University Hospital OWL of Bielefeld University. As one of the top 100 hospitals in Germany, the clinic relies on state-of-the-art methods — including our driving simulator. In collaboration with the Würzburg Institute for Traffic Sciences (WIVW), the simulator has been integrated as an innovative tool into neurological and traffic medicine practice. Elderly patients and individuals who have experienced neurological events can use it to realistically assess and specifically improve their driving skills — safely, reproducibly, and without real accident risk.
